According to this, Im getting 20mpg out of the 4 Liter V6 in my truck:
With no highway driving :O
Also according to this its actually getting to operating temp:
It never used to do that, is it possessed by the devil?

Yes, I suggest you perform an exorcism and sacrifice exactly three goats to the fire gods.
thank me later.

how about 21mpg out of 7.3L v8
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:08 |

How about 2 mpg out of a 3.0L V6?
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:09 |

According to what?

I have a 20 gallon tank, my gauge is at 3/4 full, so Ive used 5 gallons. My trip meter reads 100 miles. So Ive gotten 100 miles to 5 gallons or 20 miles to 1 gallon, aka 20mpg.

lol, why

YES JORDAN YES

Dude I’m pretty sure I averaged 8 in mine

3VZE + Pro-Comp Extreme No Terrain Tires + Snow + Having to Drive in 4-Hi Due to Said “Snow Rated” Tires = 2ish MPG, or 35 miles out of 17 gallons.
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:14 |

I usually average 12, but due to snow and Pro-Comp’s finest tires, I had to drive around in 4-Hi for a tank.
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:16 |

Dude mine has Pro-Comps too. This is weird
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:19 |

I'm thinking yes.
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:19 |

Extreme AT’s? Mine debeaded at 70% tread while I was in the middle of no where without a spare or a cell signal, so I had to drive on them. After them nearly causing me to crash on 3 separate occasions due to their lack of grip in moisture, I replaced them with full on mud terrains, and they are better in every possible way. They are louder, but I like the howl.
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:22 |

Eh, measure when you fill not by the gauge. My gauges always seem to favor full or empty (One end burns slow the other real fast).
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:33 |

I get 16-19mpg in my 3.0 V6, but I only commute 4 miles and it's all hills.
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:33 |
|
Extreme ATs I’m pretty sure. But mine only have like 2-3k miles on them
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:34 |
|
My commute is 11 miles one way and its mostly flat, a few hills
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:38 |

Mine for whatever reason would fool my ABS sensors when they detected moisture, causing my brakes to lock. Haven’t had that problem since they were gone.
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:40 |

Mine too. I slid through the intersection right in front of my school once with my little brother in the car with me. It was a little scary tbh. Is yours a 95 as well?
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:54 |
|
Wait, you have a 4Runner now?
![]() 07/19/2015 at 23:56 |
|
I’ve had it. I drove it in high school, then my dad gave me his truck when he got a new car back in like September. They kept the 4Runner cause dad still wanted to have a truck around, now my little brother is gonna have it when he gets his license. So both the truck and the 4Runner are both kinda mine. I paid for part of the 4Runner, but both are titled to my dad.

Ah, but yeah, mine’s a ‘95
3.Slow/A340
.

My bearings had to get replaced like a year after I got it at about 215k. I just want to put a 2JZ in it...

My plan is a 1UZ/W56 swap eventually, but my entire top end was rebuilt at 167k, and I’m at 180k-ish right now.
![]() 07/20/2015 at 00:17 |

I can get 20 out of the 3.0 V8 in the 530i if I really try. Highway is nearly 25!
Meanwhile, the Porsche gets 18 out of a 3.0l 4-cylinder.

Your oil pressure gauge is also registering pressure. Your vehicle is haunted. Kill it with fire.
![]() 07/20/2015 at 00:18 |

Is it that weird that my all my gauges work?
![]() 07/20/2015 at 00:20 |

Yeah I’m pretty sure that the original owner had bought it for his daughter to commute from Memphis to Ole miss or something like that. I think that’s why it’s got so many miles. Heck, my F-150 is an 04 and it has more miles than your 4Runner. I’m at 195k. And yeah a 1UZ would be cool. Is that the V8 they put in like the 4th gen 4Runner for a few years or so?
![]() 07/20/2015 at 00:21 |

My commutes have always been small.

^ This. Hate to be a downer but that’s what you should go by.
![]() 07/20/2015 at 00:48 |

Yes, you must burn it to the ground because it is haunted.
/sarcasm intended
![]() 07/20/2015 at 00:50 |

My trip computer tells me I get 14 mpg per gallon with the same engine. So I believe it may be slightly off.
Although your gas gauge could also be reading high.

No, you have to sacrafice the chickens to the slow cooker gods.

Yes, with a light citrus glaze

IDK if this is gluten-free, but I’ve had really good luck with this recipe. I made 5.5 lbs today for my uncle’s birthday, and it was good.

Well anything made from scratch can be modified for allergies. And yes its GF, but Im also allergic to anchovies so no traditional Worcestershire for me. There is a fish free one though, I could use that. Damn that recipe looks amazing

It totally is.

Wait... No Terrain tyres? This is new to me.

How about 23mpg out of a 2.5L I4?
![]() 07/20/2015 at 06:16 |

Dont use what the tank says, count the actual gallons you put into it.
![]() 07/20/2015 at 07:45 |

Re-reading it, I think you were recommending he listen to me and use the fill-up gallons as his fuel consumed?
![]() 07/20/2015 at 07:54 |

Omg. Actual gauges for oil pressure and voltimeter? I fell in love with this panel. The last panel I saw that had all this was a Ford Del Rey.

Now that’s what I like to see.

I’m actually surprised you weren’t using ethanol to get that low. 2MPG is what I think when I hear about twin turbo ethanol v8 engines doing top speed runs.

They weren’t excellent at any terrain, most specifically the street.

Thus is life with a 3VZE.

Eh, with the exception of head gaskets, it’s not that bad. Honestly the worst part about the engine is the A340 behind it. It sucks so much power. It’s not like anything is going to get excellent fuel economy with 33’s and 4.56s.
![]() 07/20/2015 at 18:55 |

As previously mentioned, don’t go off the fuel gauge and calculate your mileage when you fill up instead. That being said, it’s not impossible to crack 20 MPG with the 4.0L; I’m averaging that on mine with little highway driving.
